I’m thankful for the internet – and a handy man.
After the issues we had this weekend (which were resolved on Saturday!), I started to notice pooling water in the cabinet under the kitchen sink, but I was struggling to find the source of the leak. This morning, I finally discovered the source – the water shut off valves were both leaking.
I asked J if he knew anything about fixing them, and he looked it up on Google (though if he’d have used Swagbucks to search, he could have earned points that we could have turned into Amazon gift cards to help pay for Christmas!). Google showed the fix to be an “easy” one, so he grabbed his tools, shut the water off, and went to work removing the nuts on the shutoff valve.
Thankfully, all we needed to do was replace the nuts and washers (which cost us about $5 at the hardware store across the street), and we were good to go. I’m thankful it was an “easy” fix and that he was willing to figure it out!
