Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching, and often that means we start thinking about chocolates, candies, and flowers. But this year, VeggieTales wants us to remember to love one another every day of the year.
To help celebrate the release of the newest Veggie Tales DVD, Lettuce Love One Another, all week I’ll be sharing freebies that you can use to help teach your kids to love others with God’s love.
We often confuse being kind with being nice. The problem is that being nice is often an outward “makes me looks good” action that is more about us than others. Kindness is an attitude that starts with seeing others as more important than ourselves.
Kindness Defined (from dictionary.com):
…of a good or benevolent nature or disposition, as a person; or having, showing, or proceeding from benevolence…
Kindness starts with our hearts!
Scripture of the Day
“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:32)
A Free Printable – Kindness Chart and Punch Card
This chart is a place to list ways your family shows kindness to others throughout the week. The Kindness Cards at the bottom of the printable offer a place to personalize for each child or family member. A punch can be given each time they are kind to others.

This printable is a tool to remind us that God doesn’t want us to spread words that hurt, God wants us to spread kind words!
How do you teach your kids to be kind?
Disclosure: I received a free copy of the Lettuce Love One Another DVD from VeggieTales in exchange for my participation in this blog tour.
