Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching, and often that means we start thinking about chocolates, candies, and flowers. But this year, VeggieTales wants us to remember to love one another every day of the year.
To help celebrate the release of the newest Veggie Tales DVD, Lettuce Love One Another, all week I’ll be sharing freebies that you can use to help teach your kids to love others with God’s love.
Use Nice Words
Our words can have a big impact on others.
Ephesians 4:29 reminds us to: “Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.”
We need to use nice words to build others up – not tear them down!
Lettuce Love One Another Stamp Art Guide
Grab your kids and have fun creating these “nice words” cards to send to family and friends.
- blank cards
- stamp ink pad
- head of lettuce
- cutting board
1. Place the lettuce on the cutting board and use the knife to remove the leaves.
2. Use the stamp ink pad to ink the bottom portion of your lettuce head (not the leaves).
3. Press the lettuce firmly onto your blank cards.
4. Add “nice words” to encourage the recipients!
