The holidays are a busy time of year, and while we often spend countless hours cleaning and decorating the main living areas of our homes, we tend to overlook one of the smallest, yet busiest spaces… the bathroom. This holiday season, spend five minutes on a mini-bathroom makeover and make this DIY Bathroom Air Freshener to greet your guests with a warm welcome.
There are two things that every bathroom needs when company is coming – an extra roll of toilet paper and a good air freshener spray. When a guest can’t find one or the other, it can create an embarrassing situation. That’s why I’m excited to share my mini-bathroom makeover (really, just the top of the toilet) – a way to avoid those embarrassing bathroom moments this holiday season!
Get the Mega Roll
Your house will be full this holiday season, and you want to keep your bathroom guest-ready at a moment’s notice. Quilted Northern® Mega Rolls mean a fuller roll and less roll changes (because no one wants their guest to experience a bath tissue run out!). That’s why I picked up a package in the bath tissue aisle when I stopped at Target last week.

Adding an extra roll to the decorative basket on the top of my toilet ensures that my guests will not run out of toilet paper during their visit. It’s a small update with mega impact!
DIY Bathroom Air Freshener Spray
Nothing is worse than not being able to find the air freshener spray after you’ve used the bathroom at someone’s house, and I want to avoid having my guests experiencing that embarrassment. That’s why I’ve added a bottle of DIY bathroom air freshener spray to my decorative basket on the top of my toilet.
Supplies Needed:
- distilled water
- 4oz glass bottle with misting spray top
- your favorite essential oil blend
Instructions:
Put approximately 50 drops of your favorite essential oil into the glass bottle.
Then fill the bottle with distilled water.
