When I sit down to pray for my kids, I like to have a spiritual target, not just a laundry list of physical conditions. Forming my prayers around Scripture helps me to do that.

When I pray God’s Word, not only do I know that I am praying according to His will, but I am engraving His truths on my heart. Join me as we pray for our kids to grow in their faith.

There are many Bible verses and passages that talk about spiritual growth. Here are a few examples of Scriptures to pray for your kids’ spiritual growth:

1 Samuel 2:26

“Now the boy Samuel continued to grow both in stature and in favor with the Lord and also with man.”

Psalm 92:12-14

“The righteous flourish like the palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon. They are planted in the house of the Lord; they flourish in the courts of our God. They still bear fruit in old age; they are ever full of sap and green…”

2 Corinthians 8:7

“But as you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all earnestness, and in our love for you — see that you excel in this act of grace also.”

Ephesians 4:15-16
