Easy On-the-Go Snack Ideas for Busy Moms

Having easy on-the-go snacks available is a must in order to keep my kids’ hunger in check without having to run through the drive-thru later in the day to grab a quick snack.

That’s why when I go grocery shopping, I always try to stock up on lots of snack options for my family: fruit, veggies and hummus, cracker packs, nuts, etc.

Fruit & Veggies

When we get home from the grocery store, I try to take the time to wash and process our fruit and veggies. Some of the fruit and veggies are stored in single-serving bags making them easy to grab for an on-the-go snack later in the week.

Bananas, apples, grapes, carrots, broccoli, and celery are favorite on-the-go snacks at our house.

I add the baggies of fruit and veggies to our “On-the-Go Snack Box” in the fridge so the kids can grab their own snacks on the way out the door to our various extracurricular activities.

Hard Boiled Eggs

I use my electric pressure cooker to steam-boil a dozen and a half eggs at a time (takes less 15 minutes start to finish).

Once they’re cooled, I add them to “On-the-Go Snack Box” in the fridge.

Cracker Sandwiches

Perhaps the easiest on-the-go snack is our favorite cracker packs: RITZ Filled Cracker Sandwiches. I found my RITZ crackers at my local Kroger. Find your local Kroger/Kroger Family of Stores to get your RITZ crackers.

I keep a few RITZ cracker packs in my bag at all times… for the days we’re running late and forget to grab anything out of the fridge or pantry. With no time for struggles and meltdowns, RITZ Filled Sandwich Crackers are sure to always satisfy my hungry kids!

Trail Mix

Raisins, nuts, and chocolate-coated candies are always a crowd-pleaser. And it’s easy to make up a large batch of single-serving trail mix baggies.

The kids love to help me fill the baggies and store them in our “On-the-Go Snack Box” in the pantry.

Pistachios

Pistachios and other nuts make great on-the-go snack ideas. I buy them in bulk and bag them in single-sized portions.
